Why CFA

Privacy by Design

EXIF stripping, minimal data collection, no device fingerprinting. We protect contributors while enabling coordination.

Verified by Community

2-person verification threshold, anti-self-verification rules, and duplicate detection ensure data quality.

Actionable Intelligence

NGO-ready CSV exports, structured data, and photo evidence for donor reporting and resource allocation.

Africa-Native Design

3G-optimized, mobile-first, icon-driven for all literacy levels. No app download required.

The Challenge

The Accountability Gap

Environmental issues in African communities often go unreported, unverified, or ignored not because people don't care, but because there's no trusted system to make their voices count.

Flooding affects millions annually, with blocked drainage a leading cause

Waste hotspots create health risks for children and families

Response efforts are scattered and inefficient without verified data

CFA Changes This

By putting verification power in the community's hands, we create evidence that demands attention and enables coordinated response.

  • Community verification builds distributed trust
  • Structured data enables efficient response
  • Photo evidence creates irrefutable records

Questions Answered

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions from partners, funders, and community members.

CFA uses community verification with a 2-person threshold, anti-self-verification rules, and duplicate detection. Reports must be verified by independent community members before being prioritized.

Nearby community members confirm what they see by visiting the location. A report is promoted to 'verified' status when it reaches the verification threshold (2 independent verifications). Verifiers cannot verify their own reports.

Privacy-first: we strip EXIF metadata from photos, minimize personal data collection, and avoid device fingerprinting. We encourage users not to include sensitive personal information in reports.

NGO dashboards include CSV export with photo evidence, timestamps, verification status, and location data. This enables donor-ready impact reporting with verifiable evidence.

CFA is built by a small core team with experience in product, community operations, and engineering. Fiscal sponsorship is in progress. We are setting up responsible governance and operational partnerships for the pilot.
